CONGRESS: LEGISLATIVE LUNACY

The Senate and House passed the $700 billion dollar bail-out democrats blame the Bush administration as being the cause of. Democrats forget it was their guy bill Clinton who demanded high-risk loans must be given to low-income minorities. The $700 billion was foreseen and stoppable, but liberal dems wanted lending houses with high rates lending without down payments and background checks. The result was near collapse and many with collateral turned away.

On September 30, 1999 New York Times columnist Steven A. Holmes stated this: “In a move that could help increase home ownership rates among minorities and low-income consumers, the Fannie Mae Corporation is easing the credit requirements on loans that it will purchase from banks and other lenders. The action, which will begin as a pilot program involving 24 banks in 15 markets—including the New York metropolitan region—will encourage those banks to extend home mortgages to individuals whose credit is generally not good enough to qualify for conventional loans. Fannie Mae officials say they hope to make it a nationwide program by next spring.”

The above credit loans were handed out under the Clinton Administration. Notice the loans were specifically intended for “minorities and low-income consumers…whose credit is generally not good enough for conventional loans.” Convention states one must place 20% or more down on a home in order to make the purchase. According to the New York Times that was not so in the 1990’s. Holmes wrote that the Clinton administration ordered an expansion of loans to low-income Americans who could not afford to purchase homes. Fannie Mae charged three to four times more on the interest rate average than conventional lenders. Low-incomers did not need to place money down to purchase; they were handed loans despite Fannie CEO Franklin D. Reines admitting low-incomers could not pay their mortgages: “there remain too many borrowers whose credit is just a notch below what our underwriting has required…”

The Times further noted: “Fannie Mae officials stress that the new mortgages will be extended to all potential borrowers who can qualify for a mortgage. But they add that the move is intended in part to increase the number of minority and low income home owners who tend to have worse credit ratings than non-Hispanic whites. Home ownership has, in fact, exploded among minorities during the economic boom of the 1990’s.” Harvard University Joint Center for Housing Studies reported that 87.2% of low-income Hispanics and 71.9% of African Americans received high-risk loans between 1993 and 1998. The number for Asian-Americans receiving loans was 46.3%.

According to the Times studies showed 18% of subprime lending was given to black borrowers; conventional loans was only 5%. The hand-out was racially motivated.

What did high-risk borrowers receive? Under Fannie Mae low-income Americans were eligible for mortgages with interest rates “one percentage point above that of a conventional, 30-year fixed rate mortgage of less than $240,000—a rate that currently averages about 7.76 per cent.” Borrowers unable to make monthly payments for two years had the “one percentage point premium dropped.”

Reines ignored common sense and the law for interest profits Fannie Mae made on bad lending. Reines escaped with tens of millions in Wall Street money.

Banks know low-income borrowers are incapable of making mortgage payments; but that was the point: make middle and upper-class Americans pay for those who refuse to work, save before purchasing. The winners in the entire mess are Franklin A. Reines, Jamie Garelick of Freddie Mac, Barry Obama, Chuck Schumer, Janet Reno, and Senator Chris Dodd, who all took large donations from both companies, ACORN, who strong-armed donations for low-incomers, Barney Frank, who warned in July 2008 there would be fall-out, but now denies making those claims because he took money from lenders, and the Clintons, who enforced the lending spree that nearly collapsed Wall Street.

The Clintons have not taken the heat for what they furthered: Jimmy Carter’s race-card mortgage plan to force those who have to give up their money to those without. The Community Reinvestment Act passed in 1977 under Carter’s approval. The CRA demands banks fork over loans to low-income minorities and low-income neighborhoods or be tagged racist. In the old days those without worked to get rather than taking from taxpayers. Community Reinvestment is redistribution of taxpayer’s wealth.

Carter has not received any blame. The Bush Administration is considered the culprit. Business Week’s Aaron Pressman insists: “Just the idea that a lending crisis created from 2004 to 2007 was caused by a 1977 law is silly. But it’s even more ridiculous when you consider that most subprime loans were made by firms that aren’t subject to the CRA… the Bush administration has been weakening CRA enforcement and the law’s reach since the day it took office. The CRA was at its strongest in the 1990s, under the Clinton administration, a period when subprime loans performed quite well. It was only after the Bush administration cut back on CRA enforcement that problems arose, a timing issue which should stop those blaming the law dead in their tracks.” The CRA requires lending houses must give low-income minorities loans; the race-card has been in effect since 1977; whether or not banks are subject to the CRA does not mean banks are not strong-armed by liberal activists. They are.

As for the 1990’s being glory years for lending, those years created more low-income neighborhood loans than this decade. In the late 1990’s the Department of Housing and Urban Development announced that by 2001 50% of all Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac portfolios would be low-income borrowers. When that statement was made HUD was investigating the two mortgages lenders for discrimination against poor black borrowers. Bush was not president during the 1990’s, Clinton was.

In 1999, Peter Wallison of the American Enterprise Institute affirmed Freddie and Fannie were “thrifty industr[ies]. Wallison stated then that the failing of the two lenders would force the government to step in and bail them out “the way it stepped up and bailed out the thrift industry.”

Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac purchased so many bad loans they nearly crashed Wall Street. The two lenders have in fact crashed many taxpayers’ wallets. The $700 billion dollar package passed, Franklin D. Reines and Jamie Garelick have not been punished, and neither have the Clintons, who will never be blamed for furthering Jimmy Carter’s horrendous lending bill.

American taxpayers are now stuck with $700 billion in welfare bail-outs caused by liberal democrats.

J.C. Watts summed up the economic mess with the best words: “I told you so.” Watts was referring to constant lending to high-risk borrowers and lowering interest rates so low money became cheap. Watts has been warning for nearly ten years there would be an economic fall-out resulting from Congress allowing Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to continue lending. In 2005 Maxine Waters told the House nothing was wrong with the two lending houses and no one should go after them because they help poor people. Two weeks ago the dung hit the street. Lending banks went belly-up; CEO’s of those banks took off with billions in investor’s money, and Washington proposed taxpayers purchase the bag they got stuck holding despite their stocks were no longer in the bag.

John McCain and many along with him, including the taxpayers, said no to bailing out what Congress allowed: Robin Hooding the taxpayers to pay loans belonging to Americans who had no right to take money they could not afford.

After Empress of the House Her Highness Nancy Pelosi spoke in a scathing anti-Bush speech, blaming Bush for the entire mess, Pelosi ordered America to pay off the debt of mortgages and credit card bills belonging to high-risk borrowers. Americans stormed the House e-mail demanding both parties vote no.

The nay agreement was reached because the empress threw the country to the lions.

The bill was rejected 228 to 205. Republicans voted 65 to 133 against the bill, democrats voted 140 to 95 in favor of $700 billion dollars. Whether or not House Republicans and Democrats stick to their guns and continue saying nay to the naysayers is yet to be seen. Along with the no to $700 billion was the rejection to save the radical liberal group Acorn, a group that donates to Barry Obama and his low-income Chicago poor. The rejection to Acorn was blamed on John McCain who was against bailing out a group that strong-armed banks into lending to high-risk groups. Acorn was rejected by the House and the people, not one man with enough sense to see big government does not work.

On Friday Barry Obama falsely told Americans the bill was a done deal. Yesterday Congress rejected the $700 billion dollar bail-out package that would buy back 5% of bad loans taxpayers would foot the bill for. Such a bill would cause disaster ten years from now when the deficit is too high and taxpayers are still bailing out crooks Washington refuses to go after to confiscate stolen money.

The markets dropped below the 11,000 mark—800 points, but that is not a disaster as seen today when the Dow Futures rose 200 points. Markets dropping when the House votes against a bail-out bill for Wall Street is common. The next dive should be the price of the oil barrel. America should force the price of oil down and let the Saudis starve. The oil market is over-priced; oil should be set at $20 dollars a barrel. Actually the U.S. should place a 100% tax on Arab oil if they refuse to drop the price of the barrel to where it should be. It is after all cheap oil.

The White House, Pelosi, Barney Frank—who took millions from Fannie and Freddie, the FED, and Treasury Secretary are disappointed the House knocked the bill down. Americans are not. Such a bill would give the Treasury Secretary the okay to buy back mortgage-backed securities. Americans are tired of bailing out that, which the people are by constitutional law, in charge of—the government. For thirty years Americans have been forced to pay sub-prime loans belonging to others who could not pay. Washington conned voters into believing loans to everyone is a constitutional right. It is not. Making lending a right would mean it is lawful to use other people’s money for one’s self. Allowing the Treasury Secretary the authority to purchase mortgage-backed securities is monarchial, the very idea is socialism, communism; it is the essence of tyranny, which is democracy. The U.S. is not a democracy, it is a Constitutional Republic.

During the Carter administration constitutionalism was rejected for socialism. Sub-prime lending went into effect and the boiler has been running to excess. It finally overheated. Since 2001 democrats have been claiming everything is fine, there would be no economic crisis, and the poor should be able to own homes. Democrats lied and created what they needed—fall-out. Without a crisis dems are useless to those they con for votes—their beloved poor they never help get rich. The lie has cost Americans big time.

Bush Explains $700 Billion Dollar Plan

In last night’s speech President Bush said “major financial institutions have teetered on the edge of collapse and some have failed. Many banks have restricted lending. Credit markets have frozen. And families and businesses have found it harder to borrow money. We’re in the midst of a serious financial crisis.” The president declared “irresponsible actions” caused “wide-spread loss of confidence.”

Despite his low poll numbers, despite his lack of political capital, President Bush had no choice but to address the nation because bipartisan opposition to his proposal has seized Capitol Hill. The crisis has been building for over a decade and came to a head last week when lending houses closed and the markets fell. Bush himself announced reservations toward Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac’s sub-prime housing loans back in 2001. In 2005 Senator John McCain warned that Fannie and Freddie needed reform: “If Congress does not act American taxpayers will be exposed to the enormous risks that Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac pose” to the economy. Nothing was done to stop the flow of cheap money into the hands of people borrowing what they could not pay back.

Bush blamed low interest rates for generating an excess flow of money and credit: “Easy credit, combined with the faulty assumption that home values would continue to rise, led to excesses and bad decisions. Many mortgage lenders approved loans for borrowers without carefully examining their ability to pay. Many borrowers took out loans larger than they could afford, assuming that they could sell or refinance their homes at a higher price later on.”

Bush stated too many people “took out loans larger than they could afford,” triggering the housing crisis. Blame for the economic failure was placed on Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and Wall Street CEO’s who purposely drove stocks down in order to make profits for themselves.

The president stated he is working with Congress to adopt a plan that will “address the root cause behind much of the instability in our markets.” But the plan has fine print that does not work. The $700 billion dollar bail-out package is intended to buy up 5% (5% of the GDP) of all outstanding loans and mortgage securities by “supply[ing] urgently-needed money so banks and other financial institutions can avoid collapse and resume lending.” It is the lending that caused the instability in the first place, and the 5% could run up a $1 trillion dollar federal deficit.

The $700 billion is meant to improve the overall economy with a boost of collateral, but according to Bush, taxpayers will foot the bill for what the federal government and lending houses caused. Though reluctant to place the burden on the people, Bush said he must in order to prevent an economic crash. There is also the matter of $500 billion dollars shipped overseas: that money should remain in the U.S; it should be spent on the U.S. economy.

Another problem with the $700 billion is buying back assets above their value will enrich some while not enriching others. Their will be a golden parachute for few. Then there are the oversight watchdogs placing restrictions on “all companies across the financial spectrum.” That further places Congress in charge of Wall Street and Main Street. Congress is guilty for the economic failure; they knew what lending houses were doing and turned a blind eye; many on the Hill took money from Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac -- Obama, Chris Dodd, Chuck Schumer, Bill Clinton, Janet Reno, and Barney Franks to name a few.

It’s time to run the foxes out of the henhouse.

The plan is not yet set into motion. The president will meet with leaders in both parties, including Obama and McCain, to discuss the package and iron out details before anything is signed and sealed. It is not yet known what John McCain will suggest. He is against the $700 billion because taxpayers will foot the bill. Obama is on board with the package.

In the end this crisis may prove that a no-earmarks president is the right choice for the nation.

TELLING TERRORISTS TO STOP BEING MEAN

On October 5, 2007 President Bush accomplished the impossible: he made comments to the press that actually caused Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi to raise her frozen-in-place forehead: “when we find somebody who may have information regarding a potential attack on America, you bet we’re going to detain them, and you bet we’re going to question them, because the American people expect us to find out information…so we can help protect them. That’s our job.”

Not according to Nancy who seems to be more concerned with the preserving the lives of Islamic murderers than actual human beings. Nancy wants a definition of what Bush considers interrogation.

Locking the thugs of earth alone in a room with Nancy would be considered torture in my book, and perfectly acceptable. They would all commit suicide.

How could any form of torture be harmful to a race that desires suicide? Islam preaches and teaches death by suicide combined with murder to all non-Muslims. Why would torture be so bad? Maybe they would enjoy a little reciprocation.

Not in Nancy Pelosi’s book of Face Lifts and Fatwas.

On Sunday October 7, 2007,Fox News’s Chris Wallace interviewed the Speaker of the House on many issues, including Bush’s comments on interrogating the enemy. Bush’s interview two days earlier came as some sort of shock to the woman in charge of Congress.

Apparently, the “longest-serving member of Congress on the intelligence Committee” and ex Officio Leader does not get briefings on secret memos all other members of Congress receive. Pelosi claims she was never briefed in 2005 on any Department of Justice secret memos concerning interrogation. “All I know is what I’ve read in the New York Times.”

Dear fellow Americans if you are wondering why the Democrat Congress and liberals in general are so screwed up, not doing one thing they claimed they would do since taking control of the House, it’s because the New York Times, not the President of the United States, has been hired to brief the Speaker of the House.

I wonder if that’s how Bill Clinton figured out he actually did have sex with that woman—reading it in the New York Times.

Nancy Pelosi should ask the New York Times where Osama bin Laden is since the Times seems to be her only resource of intelligence and communication.

On October 9, 2007, the House passed a bill for wiretapping the enemy, but Nancy is worried about interrogating those we find trying to kill us. It might not be kind treatment and we wouldn’t want to be mean to the bad guys.

Pelosi told Wallace she “appreciates the value of intelligence to protect American people,” and admits she wants the best our CIA and military can get, but Nancy wants the president to understand America must follow “international standards” concerning interrogation. The U.S. must follow the law if the U.S. wants to appear good in the eyes of the world.

Having an excellent reputation is more important than the U.S. making the bad guys tell the CIA where and when the next attack is going to happen.

God forbid we insult the Russians.

So what exactly would Nancy consider torture; torture would be “a combination of head-slapping, water-boarding, and exposure to extreme temperatures, said Pelosi,” “There is a legal definition of torture that I believe this would fit,” further stating that the president has been reported in the press as saying the above are not torture, and “I just can’t give you an informative answer on that.”

Once again Nancy Pelosi claims to get her information from the press. Pelosi is the Speaker of the House of Congress and gets her information the way the people do? God help us; this woman is in charge.

To voters in California who reelected that woman to Congress, you deserve to be hit so hard in the heads you’re mother’s will feel the pain in their wombs.

Slapping terrorists in the head is not torture. Water-boarding is not torture. The person doesn’t drown, they only think they will.

Terrorists are not equal to human beings. They don’t deserve fair treatment. Terrorist deserve the same as they give—death. If democrats get elected into the White House next year, Gitmo Bay will shut down and every terrorist in there will be set free to wreak havoc upon mankind. If Hillary or the anti-military Obama win the election, Nobel Peace Prizes will be handed out to every Muslim who succeeds in blowing up as many Jews and Christians as possible. If any of the democrat candidates win the election say goodbye to wire-tapping the enemy and hello to another 9/11. If people allow a democrat to reenter the White House expect Islam to infiltrate America further with greater freedom granted by liberals who love the enemy, want a socialized union with Mexico and Canada, and a Supreme Court answering to The Hague.

Nancy Pelosi is trying her best to block any and all means of extracting information which may prevent Americans from dying at the hands of mankind’s enemy. Pelosi knows better, she is a leader and her job is to protect the people of California and the halls of Congress, which must protect and create laws to protect the American people, not the enemy.

Nancy Pelosi and her fellow democrats—with the exception of the patriotic Joe Lieberman—are trying to reverse U.S. laws and override the Supreme Court to provide amnesty to massacring brutes. On top of that the face-lifted diva of demoflop is trying to pass a genocide bill.

That will definitely prevent another Hitler/Stalin/Saddam/Milosevic/Ahmadinedjad from ever murdering mankind. If Nancy says no more genocide you naughty boys, evil will obey the Congressional Frisco queen.

Americans need to wise up and realize interrogation of the enemy is essential if we are to survive. Americans must do everything possible to fight Pelosi and legislators who want to protect the nihilistic Barbary’s resurrected and returned. Any Congressman or Senator who would vote down interrogation bills must be voted out of office. That includes Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi who gets all her vital, secret information via the New York Times.

On the up side, San Francisco’s militant gays can desecrate as many Catholic Masses as possible without arrest and interrogation.

GRANDMA GOT RUN OVER BY A LIBERAL:

She’s the self proclaimed “nice Italian grandma” who grew up in a “deeply patriotic [family] very proud of our Italian-American heritage and [we’re] staunchly Democratic.” That staunch Democrat is the Speaker of the House “for the children” according to Nancy Pelosi.

Speaker Pelosi is smacking that gavel over the heads of every elderly and American business owner in America because she’s the law-maker of the land who “accepted [that] gavel in the spirit of partnership, not partisanship.” And the evil rich are going to pay for their evil successes that built this evil nation founded on the sinfulness of freedom.

Nancy requests all [liberal Democrats] “to join together in the first 100 hours to make Congress the most honest and open Congress in history—100 hours.”

Except for the first 100 hours of the 110^th Congress which Republicans are barred from the Queen’s throne room due to the fact they disagree with screwing Americans out of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

Only Nancy is the first to do everything. The first Italian-American Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi is the first woman Speaker, the first Californian to be Speaker, the first woman to drive a car, the first woman to have children and grandchildren, the first woman to drink coffee and eat without gaining a pound of fat, and the first woman to look like she ties a bungee cord to her scalp and jumps. Sorry Joan Rivers and Cher.

On January 4, 2007, Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi of San Francisco became America’s worst nightmare since the Clintons turned the White House into Motel 6. The hard core leftist liberal who makes Hillary look like a nice Grandma became third in line for the presidency and first woman to hold the office of Speaker. Dems are sensationalizing this fete like it’s the first female accomplishment in history.

According to Nancy, her new status is an “historical moment for the Congress and an historical moment for the women in this country.” As opposed to Condoleezza Rice being first Black Secretary of the State “It is a moment for which we waited over 200 years.”

According to Madame Speaker, we women have been working hard while waiting and “never loosing faith” we would redeem America.

Redeem it from what; sexual promiscuity, homosexual marriage pushed by divorce lawyers for money, underage abortions without parental consent, out of wedlock births, living together without marriage, sexual and violent TV and movies, freedom and rights for sex offenders and violent criminals, and corrupt politicians who steel, murder and molest?

America is redeemed to the power of women who never had power until Nancy Pelosi was crowned Queen of America.

Nancy Pelosi proudly told the House Floor she accomplished her title “for our daughters and granddaughters, today we have broken the marble ceiling, for our daughters and granddaughters, the sky is the limit, anything is possible.”

Too bad Condi Rice’s parents didn’t break any marble and tell their stupid black daughter she could have become a champion figure skater, professional ballerina, concert pianist, doctorate Professor of Political Science, Provost of Stanford University, Accomplished Russian linguistic, Advisor to a president and the Secretary of the State Department.

Pelosi invoked the founders in her acceptance speech by noting they “envisioned a new America driven by optimism, opportunity, and strength.” Nancy Pelosi is against those convictions. Any opportunity belongs solely to the government she wants controlling American lives by forceful strength.

Pelosi noted how our founders created a country that would be a “just and good place, as a fair and efficient society, as a source of opportunity for all.”

This woman is a liberal who only desires the opportunity to take away a fair and efficient society, replacing it with Social Darwinism slowly capturing America by way of liberalism. Opportunity and justice are set aside strictly for criminals so loved by liberals.

Pelosi claimed “Our new America will provide [nothing for Americans] unlimited opportunity for future generations not burden them with mountains of debt.”

Pelosi told the press she wants taxes raised on the rich. That means job losses for those employed by the rich who can not employ if they have mountains of taxes to pay to Pelosi’s government.

Nancy Pelosi does not believe in a government of the people, by the people; she wants the government to take full domination of Americans lives and has a voting record to prove it.

Let’s take a look at Nan’s voting record and beliefs so every reader can see what they’re in for over the next two years—and possibly more if Democrats are not defeated in 2008.

Nancy Pelosi scored very high with a 60% rating on tolerance for different life-style choices. She’s pro-gay marriage. So are divorce lawyers who will make a fortune on every gay marriage they are encouraging.

On standards for morality and safety in America that would be enforced by the government Nancy Pelosi scored only 40%. On free market competition and personal responsibility for financial matters the Congresswoman scored 60%.

When it came to believing the government should equally redistribute America’s wealth, Nancy Pelosi scored low at 40% believing the U.S. government should have full jurisdiction of all American’s money, lives, choices and the government.

Pelosi demands companies hire more minorities and women—regardless of education and competence.

She and husband Paul Pelosi own a large San Francisco bay real estate portfolio worth millions, the couple sold their Rutherford Vineyard for millions in 2003 and they own millions in stocks in Microsoft, AT&T, and Amazon.com to name a few. And the woman worth millions who hates the rich is listed as one of the wealthiest members in Congress.

Nancy Pelosi wants to raise your taxes, socialize medicine, open the U.S. borders wider, let all illegals in to this nation freely without repercussion, give more money to unskilled workers and less to skilled, degreed corporate workers, pull the troops out of Iraq before Iraq is stable so terrorists can attack Americans on U.S. soil, legalize gay marriage, partial birth abortion, and destroy big corporations in order to accomplish the liberal agenda of Socialism.

All I can say is: if you love this country stop voting Democrat and get that woman out of the house before it’s too late.
